Zelda 2 - The Adventure of Link on NES (mini) and GBA (NES Classic): Heart and Magic Containers

These receptacles (or containers in my walkthrough) are called "life point container" and "magic point container" in the manual.

Heart receptacles

1) The first heart receptacle is located south of the Parapa Palace in a small clearing.

2) The second receptacle is located south-east of the first village, you will need the hammer to be able to take it.

3) The third receptacle is in the water, north of the palace on the sea.

4) The fourth receptacle is located east of the Palace of the 3 Stone Eyes.

Magic receptacles

1) The first magic receptacle is located in a cave right below Zelda's Palace.

2) The second magic receptacle is located in a cave just to the left of where you find the hammer. Smash the rock and fall into it.

3) The third magic container is located in a secret cave of the northeast labyrinth.

4) The fourth magic container is located in New Kasuto.
