Zelda Ocarina Of Time : Tricks, bugs and other more or less useless tips Play music

Here are some tips that are often useless and therefore essential for this great game that is Zelda: Ocarina of Time. For now, it is not finished but I have already decided to put the Action Replay part on another page.

Cucco attack

This is what happens when you bother the chickens in Kakariko Village too much: they rebel, call their friends and attack in mass. You must flee if you don't want to die.

Signboard repair

This is a very useful trick when you have inadvertently broken a sign that you haven't read. Play Zelda's Lullaby and the pieces lying on the ground will come back together to reform the sign.

One more bottle, one less item

To replace one of your items with a bottle, here's how to proceed. Take a bottle and stand near a fairy, an insect or a fish. Press the button where you put the bottle and press Start very quickly. Replace the bottle with the item you want to exchange (here Deku Nuts) on the corresponding C button. Link will continue his gesture and get what you caught in a bottle instead of the chosen item. Be careful because this trick is apparently irreversible and you can remove an item from your inventory that is needed to finish the game, so if by chance it happens to you, do not save under any circumstances.

Calming Business Scrubs

Instead of reflecting their attacks with your shield, you can, once you have obtained the Megaton Hammer, strike a hard blow on the ground to make them all surrender at once.

I've been sent a lot of tips and they keep coming. I don't have time to put the images up for now but I will do it when I do the Master Quest walkthrough. In the meantime, I'm putting the text of the tips up so I don't receive each tip in 10 copies.

The windows of the Hyrule Castle inner courtyard

  • If you shoot at one of the windows when you meet the princess, a guard will throw a bomb at you.
  • If you look through a window, you can see Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi on stained glass windows.

Scrubs and masks

Scrubs have specific reactions depending on the masks you wear when visiting them at the Forest Stage. They will attack you if you wear the Zora or Gerudo mask. With the Spooky Mask or the Bunny Hood, they will retreat into their holes. Finally, with the Deku Mask or the Goron Mask, they will give you rupees (more for the Goron mask).

To be added: Arwing, Gossip Stones (hammer, fire, color change...).

1. Change the color of Gossip Stones.

Simply place a bomb next to a Gossip Stone so it flashes in color (like when making them fly) but before it takes off, hit it (when it is another color) and it will stay that color. There are two colors (red and blue). This does not stay forever (when you leave the location it returns to its normal state).

2. Make the cursed brothers in the Skulltula House suffer.

To make them suffer, it's simple. Hit them once so they swing left to right, go behind and hit the weak point (they paralyze while screaming in pain). But be careful! When they "un-paralyze" after being attacked, don't get close! They will spin around and you will lose health points.

Very useless but a nice little trick, hehe.

Gossip Stones

The stones

Flying Stone

By putting a bomb next to a Gossip Stone, you will see it take off. If there is a ceiling, it will crash into it.

Spinning Stone

Using Din's Fire near a stone or shooting a fire arrow at it will make the stone spin.

Flat Stone

A good hit from the Megaton Hammer will allow you to flatten a Gossip Stone.
