After talking to the owl and taking the skulltula, send a bomb into the stones to open a passage. Then, cross the river with the Cucco located near the stone circle, then follow the path. To get past the walls, throw your chicken then join it and pick it up again (1). When you reach the point where the river splits in two, look at the wall a bit further down; you should see a platform you need to jump onto (2). Then climb the ladder, a chicken is waiting for you at the top, take it, cross the mini-bridge and jump onto the column on the left where the heart piece is (3).

If you no longer have a chicken, go back to the start to get one. On the way, you can, if you wish, buy one or more magic beans (1). Be careful, if the 1st bean costs only 10 rupees, the 2nd is worth 20, the 3rd 30... don't spend them recklessly. Go back to where you climbed the ladder with your chicken but instead of jumping on the platform, continue up the river. Cross the bridge, follow the fence and follow the path to the end. Arriving against the cliff, turn left and jump with your chicken (2) to get a heart piece. Then go back up to where you just jumped from (or rather just before) and jump onto the path below. Follow this path upwards until you see the inscriptions on the ground. There, play the Royal Family's Song (Zelda's Lullaby) and jump under the waterfall into the corridor to reach Zora's Domain.

So here you are in Zora's Domain, where the creatures of the same name live. The Zora people are half-man, half-fish and move as well on land as in water. The King is a friend of the King of Hyrule; go see him at the top of the domain to start. He tells you that the princess has disappeared and you won't get anything else out of him for now. So go to the corridor on the left and talk to the Zora holding the diving game (1). This game is quite simple to understand: just stand above each rupee and dive to catch it. Once all the rupees are obtained, go back to see the Zora from the diving game and talk to him so he gives you your reward: the Silver Scale. Then turn around and light a stick in front of the Zora King, then go down to light the torch a bit further down the path. You will then hear the music announcing the discovery of a secret. Put your stick away and take it out again to relight it. Next, you must very quickly light the 4 other torches in the domain (normally, one stick is enough; the fourth must be lit before the first goes out. The one you are in front of will no longer go out). These 4 torches are quite easy to find: just follow the path to the shop to find the first. Then, you have to go into the water for the second (2) and hug the wall (3) to pass under the waterfall without falling into the water for the next two. By lighting the 4th torch, you will see a chest containing a heart piece appear.

After picking up this heart, go into the water and dive into the small passage (1) which was too deep before having the scale. You emerge on the shore of Lake Hylia located in the southwest of Hyrule. At the bottom of the water, you can see that Navi is pointing something out to you. Dive (2) to get the third bottle. This one contains a message. To read it (3), simply select and use the bottle. You learn that the missing princess (Ruto) is locked in the belly of the great Jabu-Jabu and that you must not tell her father.

Before going to tell the Zora King about the message (well, you didn't promise anything), visit the lake a bit. First, go talk to the scarecrows in the northeast of the lake. The bottom one is named Bonooru and you will have to pay attention to the music you play for him (1) because this music becomes the Scarecrow's Song which will be useful later. Then go to the fishing pond located in the shack southeast of the scarecrows. Talk to the guy to get your fishing rod and try to position yourself roughly as in image 2 to cast your rod. There is often a big fish in the area. To attract it, wiggle the stick. To bring it in, hold A, R, the stick towards you and to the right or left (change this direction often). Once a big fish is caught (3), go talk to the owner of the game who will give you a heart piece.

You can now return to Zora's Domain by passing through the path you took on the way there (1). It is located in the north center, between the pillars (look north). Once in the domain, if you have an empty bottle, use it to catch a fish (2) (near the shop for example). Then go show the letter to the Zora King (this will free up a bottle for you; go get a fish if you haven't done so). The king then opens the passage leading to Zora's Fountain, the altar of the great Jabu Jabu (3).

Before going to see the god Jabu Jabu, go to the southeast of Zora's Fountain. Blow up the brown stone and, at the same time, the wall it was resting on (1), then enter the cave thus formed. Play Zelda's Lullaby in front of the Great Fairy Fountain to obtain Farore's Wind. Go back out and stand in front of Jabu-Jabu's head (2) then use your bottle containing a fish (3).
