There are only 5 hearts in the overworld but they are not all easy to find. An Old Man will often give you the choice between the container and a red potion. Don't hesitate, take the heart. According to the manual, these are heart containers.

Heart 1 (push in A3)

Push the 2^nd tombstone from the left in the middle row.

Heart 2 (whistle in G1)
