These items appear when you put out
a candle
,
a lantern
or a flame in general
,
when you have destroyed certain enemies or broken certain walls.
The number of collected hearts determines how many times you can use the Warakiya sub-weapons and also how long Alucard can transform into a bat.
The werewolf leg
It restores your energy.
The bonus bag
Gives you more or fewer points.
This gives you an extra life.
Allows you to throw 2 Warakiya sub-weapons at the same time (for Trevor and Grant).
Allows you to throw 3 Warakiya sub-weapons at the same time (for Trevor and Grant).
Pocket watch
This item is used like a sub-weapon. Its use costs 5 hearts. It freezes enemies.
It makes you invisible and invincible for a certain period of time.
Rosary
It gives you the power to clear all enemies from the screen in the blink of an eye.
The upgrade
Improves the length and then the power of your whip if you have Trevor. If you have Alucard, it increases the number and power of the destruction balls he throws.
The end ball
Each stage boss gives you this ball. Take it to proceed to the next level.
As in Castlevania 1, it will often be possible to break bricks to find a pot roast (for health points) or a double then triple (to throw your sub-weapon 2, then 3 times with Trevor) or even a big heart (5 small ones). Most often, the bricks that can be broken are located in the back wall of a room, at the hero's height or above a door, or when the bricks form a kind of staircase. There can also be some elsewhere (e.g., level 11).
