Before leaving Lake Hylia, wait until dawn (play the Sun's Song) and shoot an arrow at the sun (1) as it rises. The Fire Arrow will appear on the small island with 2 pillars (just below where you shot from). Go and collect it (2).

Go to Kakariko Village to find that everything is burning. Sheik is waiting near the well, a piece of the well breaks off and falls violently to the ground. Sheik is then swept away and thrown in all directions. A blue trail invades the village and Link tries to protect Sheik. Link wakes up shortly after and Sheik explains that the Shadow Monster, once locked at the bottom of the well, has escaped. Impa has gone to seal the Shadow Temple, you must help her. Sheik teaches you the Nocturne of Shadow which will allow you to open the temple located under the graveyard.

Before visiting the Shadow Temple, go to the Temple of Time because you are missing a crucial item: the Lens of Truth. If you haven't been there since you were an adult, you will meet Sheik who will teach you the Prelude of Light which allows you to teleport to the Temple of Time. He will also explain that you can travel between the 2 eras at will by putting the sword back on its pedestal or by taking it back.

Once back in the past, take a trip to Zora's River. Buy some magic beans if necessary. Play the Song of Storms to the frogs (2) located under the floating platforms (1) to win a heart piece. Then play all your other songs (the top 5 that are not used to access a location) to make all the frogs grow (a frog grows with each song). If you take out your ocarina again, the frogs will offer you a small game where you have to make the frog with a butterfly over its head (3) jump so it eats it. To do this, simply play the corresponding note (C-left makes the purple one on the left jump, C-right the pink one on the right, ...). If you win, the frogs will give you a second heart piece.

With these 2 hearts obtained, play the Bolero of Fire to teleport to Death Mountain Crater and plant a bean in the hole before teleporting back to the Temple of Light.

Now head to Kakariko Village and play the Song of Storms to the "musician" in the windmill. The windmill will speed up and the well will empty. Go down the ladder of the well to find yourself in a mini-temple: the Well.

The Well Play music

The Well

Start by going through the small opening. Quickly cross the corridor to avoid being bothered by the Dead Hand. Go through the opening and take the corridor on the left, then the one on the right following the stream. At the first turn on the right, break the rocks with a bomb, then eliminate the Skulltula and press the button.

Retrace your steps and follow the stream corridor to the right until you reach the Zelda family crest on the ground. Use the slingshot to activate the switch in the recess on the left (the water will stop flowing). Then play Zelda's Lullaby. Take the passage behind you that has just opened and retrieve the map from the chest.

Go into the small prison on the left and activate the switch with the slingshot. Turn around and go through the door. There is an invisible path along the right wall (as indicated by the pots). Follow it to obtain a small key.

This paragraph is optional for the walkthrough but I'm keeping it because my video "Well Skulltulas" assumes you have retrieved the key from this room. Exit the room on the left and follow the stream corridor to the right. Near the entrance, jump into the recess in the floor and take the small passage. At the end, climb the ivy and take the door. Defeat the annoying Dead Hand to obtain the compass. Before leaving the room, place a bomb in the North-East corner to obtain a small key. Exit the room, go back through the small hole and climb the ivy again.

Take the stream corridor behind you and head North-East. Go through the small opening. Shoot a seed into the left eye (the right one on the drawing) of the wall drawing, there is a switch sticking out. Take the door just to the right and cross it quickly without fighting. In the next room, throw a bomb onto the mound on the left then activate the switch that is freed.

Make a big U-turn to go back to the central room. Just behind the map chest, a hole has opened. Jump into it without holding the forward direction to avoid rolling. For my part, I jumped coming from the left of the chest. Do not step off the wooden platform before pressing the button. Facing the nearest wall on the button, go to your right below and take the corridor ahead where a chest has appeared. It is protected by 4 Dead Hands. I recommend the Sun's Song to freeze them. Open the chest to find the Lens of Truth. You can now exit the well or go collect the Skulltulas.

Then go to Hyrule Market and play the Sun's Song to make it night. Enter the Treasure Hunt building (1) on the corner opposite the Temple of Time in the square and use the Lens of Truth to find the keys in the chests. At the end, you will get a heart piece. Now return to the Temple of Time and take the sword back to become an adult again. Play the Bolero of Fire and go take the heart piece in the center using the bean (2). Then go up towards Darunia's throne room but do not enter and go left after using the Hookshot. Cross the bridge and break the stones blocking the cave entrance (3) with the hammer then enter. Play Zelda's Lullaby on the Triforce symbol and the Great Fairy will double your magic capacity. Now play the Prelude of Shadow and enter the cave.

You must now continue the adventure. Strangely, the medallion of this Temple is the last medallion in the inventory. You can also retrieve my save file (1Ko) made with bizhawk (emuhawk), which should be copied into the "SaveRam" folder before launching the game.
