Zelda Ocarina Of Time Master Quest on N64 - The Gerudo Training Ground

Before crossing the Haunted Wasteland, you can complete a series of trials that will allow you to obtain the Gerudo treasure. This treasure is located in the room across from the entrance, but you will first need to obtain 6 keys before going there. Start the training ground by going through the door on the right.

Move to the center of the Hall and turn around to shoot an arrow at the eye above the entrance, then take the door that just opened to the right of the entrance. In this first room, you have one minute to defeat everyone. I advise you to hurry even if you get hit. To the right of the entrance, high up on the ledge, there is an "Armos" statue; it is part of the enemies. Open the chest to recover the small key then go through the door.

To cross the sea of fire, start by placing yourself to the left of the lit torch and shoot an arrow through it to light the other torch next to the closed door on the right. Since the fire is extinguished, there's no problem going to get the 2 diamonds on the left then coming back with the Hover Boots and going to the door with the torch that was extinguished. Personally, I waited for it to go out and relit it with my Fire Arrow. The time is quite short. This allowed me to recover the last 3 white rupees and get to safety on the Hookshot block in the middle of the lava. From there, I shot another Fire Arrow at the torch and went through the door.

To recover all the gems underwater, you must start by burning the web on the floor with the Fire Arrow then jump into the water with the Iron Boots. It also seems preferable to kill the jellyfish (Bari and Biris) because you will have to come back up and it will be easier. Upon arriving, eliminate the 2 "Manta Rays" and the shell (Shell Blade) with the Hookshot to be at peace. To take the 3 white rupees, simply position yourself so they are between you and a Hookshot target then let yourself be pulled. Then go back up to the surface by putting on your Kokiri Boots and take the key from the chest. Exit the room, relight the torch, and cross the 2 rooms to reach the hall. Once in the hall, take the door opposite after lighting the 2 torches with your bow (or Din's Fire).

Defeat the Iron Knuckle and pass through the next door. If you are lacking hearts, try to arrange for him to break a rock; I haven't tested it, but there are surely some inside.

You will again need to collect all the jewels within the time limit throughout the room; watch out for stalactites. First go left, then left again and kill the ice man (Mr. Freezard) to get the first one. Turn back, first right, first left, use the Hookshot and hop, second gem. First right, first left, break the stalagmites with your sword and take the gem. Turn back and go straight to the end of the corridor. Go very slowly to the edge to catch the white diamond. Link should grab the ledge. As soon as you pull yourself up, look for a target on the ceiling to your left; you will fly towards the fifth diamond. Take the left corridor then the right one that goes up. The last turn on the right leads to the door (just to the left in front of the Hookshot block).

Again, you must defeat all enemies within the time limit. Watch the shadows carefully for the big Skulltulas which are killed with one Hookshot hit and defeat the Stalfos. In the chest, there are arrows. Just behind you, a Block of Time will appear if you play the Song of Time. Go get some Blue Fire in a bottle and climb on the block then pass through the wall. Eliminate the ice with the Blue Fire and go through the door.

Jump down to the left. On the rotating platform, aim at the statue and shoot an arrow into each of its 4 eyes. Next, use the bow to activate the switch in the flames and go through the door that opened on your level.

Defeat the Iron Knuckle and the Torch Slugs then shoot an arrow above the door to hit the protruding part of the switch. Step on the button on one edge of the room and open the chest in the middle. You find a small key, take the door.

You are back in a familiar room; hit the large button with your hammer and reach the Hookshot block that just appeared at your height on the other side of the room. Take the path to reach a mini-labyrinth (which has only one path...). Take the first left then follow the path to a large crate under which a large rusty button is hidden. Only one "room" has two doors on the path; in this room, take the door opposite. Hit the large rusty button with your hammer then turn back. A chest has appeared above the room, but you will have to go all the way around to get it. Upon reaching the "room" that has three doors, take the door you have never used to find yourself in the hall of the Gerudo Training Ground.

Go to the room on the right (the one where the Iron Knuckle was). Follow the path taken previously to the room with the 4-eyed statue. There, instead of going down, follow the balcony and go through the door. You find the Ice Arrow. If you haven't done so, go to the hall to open the chests and break the pots to regain magic, missiles, and arrows. Then exit the training ground and go talk to the Gerudo at the top of the tower next to the gate to be able to cross the desert.

The Haunted Wasteland

This desert is divided into 2 fairly short parts. In the first, you must follow the poles with red flags that form a path to a house. On the way, you will need to use your hookshot once (at the beginning by standing on the crate). You will also see a sign indicating the carpet merchant who will sell you bombchus for 200 rupees (don't get ripped off). Once at the small house where a skulltula is located, go up to the roof and read the inscription on the grave. Put on your Lens of Truth and follow the phantom without losing sight of it to arrive at a sort of oasis.

The Desert Colossus

Here you are in front of the Desert Colossus. To the left are a few palm trees; if you stand on the nearby stone and play the Song of Storms, the basin will fill with water and fairies will come out. To the northeast is a secret cave where you will meet a fairy by playing Zelda's Lullaby. She will teach you Nayru's Love. Then go into the temple under the colossus and come back out immediately to meet Sheik who will teach you the Requiem of Spirit. Play the Prelude of Light and go put the sword back to return to childhood, then play the Requiem of Spirit to find yourself in front of the Desert Colossus.

You must now continue the adventure upon entering the Spirit Temple to find the final medallion. Don't forget to plant a bean in front of the entrance. You can also retrieve my save file (1Ko) made with bizhawk (emuhawk), which should be copied into the "SaveRam" folder before launching the game.
