Zelda II - The Adventure of Link (Zelda 2) Walkthrough on Nes: Dungeon 2 - the Midoro Palace

Note that, like in the next 4 palaces, the ironknuckle statue at the entrance contains a red potion (hit its shield). Be careful though, sometimes an ironknuckle appears instead of the potion. Take the elevator, go all the way down, and take to the right. At the very end, you will find a key. To get it, you will have to kill the red monsters. To do this, try to pass when they jump. For the second one, crouch down on the platform in front of it and wait for it to jump so you can hit it. Then move quickly in front of it to be safe. After taking the key, go back to the left and go up one floor in the elevator.

Since all the paths on the right are dead ends, go further left. Go to the end of the path, killing the Stalfos and the snakes that block your way. For the skeletons, run towards them and crouch down, hitting at the last moment to get them. Take the key, come back to the right, and go up one floor.

Go further left, killing the enemies and being careful not to fall into the lava (don't forget the key). I advise you to wait for the bots (blue critters) on the platforms opposite to jump into the lava so you can pass quietly. Kill the ironknuckles in the large room and the skulls in the corridor to descend the elevator at the end (you will find a red flask in the dragon head in the descent before the last corridor).

Take the first one on the left. Quickly cross the room without a ceiling, avoiding the stones. In the next room, use the jump spell then shield and go take the red potion hidden in the stone guard located up high (get momentum to reach it). Kill the enemies and open the last door to get the glove.

Return to the right to the elevator. In the room where the stones fall, you can pass safely by waiting for 3 to be stacked everywhere. It will be enough to break the stones with your sword to make your way underneath them. While passing, you will take the bag of 50 experience points. Go down the elevator and go completely to the right, killing the enemies. In the mini-rooms with dragon heads, try to make the Stalfos fall without being seen by the dragon heads to be able to fight "quietly in the corridor" (to avoid being hit by the dragon head shots, advance towards them by parrying their attacks with your shield).

Continue your way to the right without taking the elevator in the middle. Take the key at the end, return to the elevator in the middle, and take it. Go completely to the right, killing all enemies. Take the bag of 100 xp points on the crumbling tiles if you want, and go face the boss.

Before fighting against Helmet head, use the "shield" magic and hit it non-stop on the head. The first 2 heads will fly off and shoot at you. Continue hitting the white head and back up while waiting for the boss if it starts to disappear at the edge of the screen. Remember that your shield stops the balls if you are right in front (jumping or crouching at the right time will be useful). Helmethead gives 200, you can seal the palace and continue the adventure (save).
