In this first horizontal part, you will have to move slowly because quite a few enemies (mainly bats) attack you quickly. A few "joke" traps can also make you lose some life points with a mini collapse of the floor that can easily make you miss a whip strike. In the second part, you will also encounter platforms completely made of gold that collapse under your feet (mostly to explain how they work for later). The golden skeletons are not to be taken lightly because they throw their bones quite far and it will take 2 hits to kill them.

The third part of "9-1" is the most perilous. Composed of many collapsing platforms, you will often have to walk without stopping so as not to fall while paying attention to the skeletons. You will also have to practice swinging on the ring not only to regain health points but also for what follows. By the way, in the candles, there is also a cross that will make ghosts appear before clearing the screen instead of the usual flashing.

In this first part of world "9-2", you meet a strange enemy that sucks you towards him while we seem to see hands coming out of a hole in a stone. Other than that, nothing particular to report.

The treasure room has never lived up to its name so well. This time, you are literally walking on a pile of gold coins. You will have to swing and take a bit of momentum to reach the left and go down the stairs.

The third part begins with a rock fall. Observe carefully and wait for the right moment to pass. Just after, on a platform at the top, the enemy that sucks you in will lead you into its den where you will find once again plenty of interesting objects. Be careful not to lose your secondary weapon if you value it.

One last effort and you're there. First, a large climb filled with bags of gold. Your score will increase very quickly if you take the time to hit the candles and the skeleton dragons. Once at the top, a few steps to the right with a bone-throwing skeleton and two others equipped with a whip and you are at the boss.

Level 9 Boss: The Golden Bat

For once, the boomerang won't be very useful at the beginning because this boss rarely descends lower than your maximum jump height. You'll need to strike in the air with the whip to hit it, keeping in mind that each time, 2 pieces of gold fly off from both sides of its body and can hit you. Due to technical constraints, when you strike again, the 4 gold pieces disappear to make way for 4 new ones. In short, if you strike fast enough, they won't be able to reach you. In any case, stand directly underneath and only strike vertically; if you strike diagonally, it means you are in the path of these gold pieces. At some point, it stops moving and charges at you. This isn't always possible to avoid depending on where it starts and where you are. Eventually, the large bat explodes and leaves 4 small ones in its place. Now, the boomerang becomes useful again because the small ones behave the same way as the large one when struck but fly lower. Moreover, they won't charge at you but will fire small golden orbs vertically. It's difficult not to get hit if you don't kill them with the boomerang because they are sturdy and there's a lot to dodge while attacking them.
