Zelda Ocarina Of Time Master Quest on N64 - The Water Temple

Start by removing your Iron Boots to climb onto the ledge. Move forward and jump to the right, then put them back on. Go through the door at the bottom right. At the end of the corridor, you meet Ruto: your fiancée. She explains that Zora's Domain is frozen but that Sheik saved her. You must help her by defeating the temple boss. She invites you to follow her to show you the places where you can change the water level, then leaves. Remove the Iron Boots to rise to the surface through the hole she left by. Two floors up, you arrive in front of the Royal Family crest. Play Zelda's Lullaby: the water level will drop to its lowest. Then use Din's Fire to light a high torch and pass through the door that just opened. Defeat the 3 Stalfos and use the Hookshot on the crest against the wall to make the chest appear that contains the map, take it.

Exit the room and jump all the way to the bottom, where Ruto spoke to you. With your bow, light the 2 torches next to the door by shooting your arrow through the already lit torch. Go through the door and eliminate the enemies in the room. Open the chest that appears and take the compass.

Exit the room. You should be able to go up one floor thanks to the Hookshot. Then aim at the crest with that same Hookshot to make a chest appear. Open it to obtain the Longshot.

You can go back down and take the corridor to find yourself in the massive central room. By going South, you can find a Gold Skulltula. Go around the central tower from the left and enter inside. Walk to the wall and turn around to use the Hookshot and thus go up one floor. Play Zelda's Lullaby to raise the water level. Exit through the door.

Go around the tower from the left. Just after the large blue button, aim at the top of the Southwest corner with the Hookshot to reach a new Royal Family crest. Just before, you can take the South door to find a Gold Skulltula. There is also a Gold Skulltula by taking the East door (but it requires the Hover Boots). Play Zelda's song once again to raise the water to its maximum level. Go North of the tower and dive, trying to aim for the floor one level below the water surface. When you are over the floor, put on your boots to be able to use the North door of the central tower. Put your Kokiri Boots back on to reach the top of the tower. Get on the floating platform and play the Song of Time. Climb onto the block that appeared and cast Din's Fire. A gate opens at the very bottom. Put on your Iron Boots and dive, trying to stay in the middle East-West so as not to fall on spikes, and pass through the opening.

Follow the corridor and pass between all the blocks to go and activate a switch at the very end of the room that appears by jumping on a brown block (it will descend and you will see the switch). A gate has opened in the ceiling. Take off your boots and go to the Southeast of the room (aim for the chest on the map). Use the Hookshot on the crest to make a bit of magic and a chest containing a small key appear.

Dive to exit the room up to the top of the tower. Once there, dive to aim for the door one level below and put on your Iron Boots to use it. Put your Kokiri Boots back on and go take the West door using your small key. In this large "waterfall" room, stand right at the edge and activate the switch above your head. Then jump straight and use your Hookshot to climb up the current by latching onto the blocks. Use the Hookshot to hit the crest at the back of the room (on the left, I don't know if the one on the right works). You will be able to reach the opposite door thanks to a block that rose in the middle. You might need to move forward little by little so as not to fall.

In the next room, go down to kill the 3 Stalfos and go back up using the Hookshot. Latch onto the first statue (clockwise) then to the wall to the left of the second. Pass to the other side of this second statue to latch onto the third statue. Back up a bit to latch onto a last statue high up then the ceiling all the way to the North and pass through the door. If needed, play the Song of Storms just before to obtain a fairy.

In this magnificent room without walls (which reminds me a bit of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber from Dragon Ball), go to the locked door then come back to the tree to make "Metal Link" appear. For my part, I started the fight with Din's Fire to touch him easily because at the beginning, he defends himself and is not easy to hit. Then, you can hit him easily with low attacks. Every time you hit him, he "falls" and reappears behind you. Once defeated, the door opens. Go through it. As you approach, the walls will reappear.

In the next room, use the Hookshot on the crest and jump into the hole that was protected by the gate. You are now in a cave where an underground river flows. At the level of the third hookable block, you will find a Gold Skulltula. Cross the room calmly with your Hookshot. No need to go into the water, go through the East door and exit to the South.

Jump into the large whirlpool of the next room with your Iron Boots. Use your Hookshot to get into the underwater recess. Exit this recess still using the Hookshot by aiming for the hole in the ceiling. You arrive in a mini room where you will need to use Din's Fire to light the torches. Go down one floor but do not jump into the large "square whirlpool". Just go to the edge and use the Hookshot to exit to the Southeast.

Put your Kokiri Boots back on. Activate the switch and jump onto the Geyser. Once on it, use Din's Fire. The gate opens, jump to open the chest containing the boss key.

Follow the corridor with the Iron Boots. At the end, use the Hookshot to climb back up and continue. Step on the button to open the gate, you are back in the large central room. If you go North, you can find a Gold Skulltula. Put your Kokiri Boots back on and go to the North of the room. Once at the surface, climb onto dry land on the tower side. Turn around to latch onto the monster statue and pass through the door just behind. To pass the incline, no question of using the Iron Boots like in the original game. Instead, use your Hookshot to activate the switch above the boss door. Then, use it again to hoist yourself to the top of the room. Open the boss door.

The Water Temple - Boss: Morpha, Giant Aquatic Amoeba Play music

You are now in the boss room, jump onto the platforms in the middle to see him appear. The boss is called Morpha, it's a giant aquatic amoeba! This creature is capable of manipulating water. Here is a method to beat it.

Go back to the edge of the room and try to pull Morpha out of the water using the Hookshot. If you can't manage it, move away when the water tentacle approaches and use your Hookshot when Morpha reaches the end of the tentacle. Normally, Morpha should be at your feet. Take the opportunity to strike it (as usual, try to land a jump attack). Repeat the operation as many times as necessary.

Morpha is defeated and evaporates instantly. After taking the heart, you teleport once more to the Chamber of Sages. Ruto turns out to be the Water Sage and thanks you for saving the Zoras, then gives you the Water Medallion. She tells you she feels Zelda is alive and I think you can trust her ;).

You must now continue the adventure. You can also retrieve my save file (1Ko) made with bizhawk (emuhawk), which should be copied into the "SaveRam" folder before launching the game.
