Young Merlin on Super NES: Walkthrough, part 3

Since the fairy has freed the forest from its curses, go there and cross it to reach Pinedale. A little further down on your right is the house the fairy showed you. Pick up the adjustable wrench on the ground next to it. Strangely, the girl you wanted to save seems to have a father in this land. He doesn't look very friendly and yells at you and his daughter (if she is his daughter) who waved at you.

Then go right and cross the small wooden bridge. Go back up by going to the left without worrying about the weird things and talk to the wizard who explains that he has lost his key.

Go to the top right of his house and enter the green maze. You can see the map of this maze (500KB). In this maze, you must find the key and a rose and optionally a bottle and a heart as well. The fountain water restores 3 hearts. To get the bottle and the heart, you must pass under the hedges at the places indicated by the red arrows on the map. Once these 4 items are taken, you can exit the maze.

Young Merlin on Super NES: Walkthrough, part 3 Go return the key to the wizard. He will give you an aquarium so that you go look for a fish. Then return to the dwarves' mine to find it. In front of the mine, unhook the thing (the wheel) attached behind the ventilation hole using the wrench, then enter the mine. You can see the map of this mine. The goal is to find the cart (top right) and use the wheel on it (left image) to be able to use it and open a passage in the dead end under the start. Before that, I advise you to take the 2 hearts and the bottle hidden in the cave (you have to pass under the walls at the places marked with a red arrow on the map). There is also a heart on the cart's path. Young Merlin on Super NES: Walkthrough, part 3

- To take the heart take: 1st down, 2nd right , 1st down, 1st right, 2nd down, 1st left, 1st up, 1st right, 1st down and 1st right (cf: cart explanation).

Now enter the cave and dive into the water in search of the wizard's fish (right image).

To return to the surface, you must go into the ring of light and use the balloon that inflates Merlin. The principle of this underwater passage is simple. At the beginning, you have 3 air bubbles that evaporate little by little. The mermaids restore your 3 bubbles with a "kiss of life". If you lose your 3 bubbles, you start back from where you entered the water. Watch out for the marine fauna (on the left) and the fast water bubbles because their contact can make you fall and thus lose time, preventing you from reaching the next mermaid. As usual, I made a map (1 MB) to make your task easier.

As you can see on the map, the fish is located completely on the left towards the bottom. However, you don't have enough air to go get it. You must therefore cross all the depths to go to the top left and return to the surface at the light. You arrive in a room with a ravine and a statue holding a diamond in its mouth. Take it and return to the beginning of the game to throw it in front of the rainbow waterfall. You obtain a bubble which will allow you to have 6 air bubbles instead of 3 in the water (left image). While you're at it, fill a bottle at the rainbow waterfall water, one at the water to the right of the carnivorous plants and one at the fairy's pond (you'll see why later). Do not use them (even if you are about to die).

Meanwhile, the dwarves have noticed that the diamond has disappeared and have come next to the statue. Get ready to be welcomed...

Go back underwater.

To have the equivalent of 9 air bubbles, wait until the last moment to use the bubble that will return you to 6 bubbles.
Now you can go get the fish and return safe and sound. Take the opportunity to collect the 2 hearts (top and left). You must exit the water without dying to keep the fish (this is not the case for the hearts). Bring his fish back to the Pinedale enchanter. To thank you, the enchanter will give you a spring.

Return to the top left of the water in the room where you took the dwarves' diamond and kill the dwarf who was waiting for you.

Use your spring to get to the other side of the ravine. Here you are at the 4th part for which here is the code:

"R" "R" "Right" "R" "Down" "Down" "Y" "B"
"R" "X" "L" "Right" "Up" "Y" "B" "B"
