Control Centre - Agent : Objectives

  1. Protect Natalya
  2. Disable GoldenEye satellite
  3. Destroy armoured mainframes

a. Protect Natalya

Protecting Natalya is the main thread of this mission, though the real protection mission happens when she's in the main room typing on the computer to disable the satellite. First, exit the lift and eliminate the guards in the main room. Once the threat is eliminated, go back to the lift to get Natalya; she'll come out to hack the computer and open the doors. With the door opposite the computer open, take the corridor after eliminating the 2 guards from a distance. At the junction, be very careful. There are 4 guards who won't hesitate to throw grenades. Once the guards are killed, go down the small staircase and pick up the mines, then come back up and turn left. Behind the guards, there's a path leading to a hangar in the main building. Eliminate the 4 guards in the hangar, go up the stairs, open the door and kill the 4 guards on the staircase. Take the door at the bottom left of the stairs and you're in the large control room. Before going to let Natalya in, I recommend picking up the armour at the very top (you can follow Boris who will run as soon as you turn your back on him). I also strongly recommend starting objective C by destroying all the accessible armoured server cabinets. Indeed, once Natalya starts working, guards will arrive non-stop and you'll need to escape as fast as possible. To let Natalya in, go upstairs via the large staircase in front of Boris then turn right. Open the armoured brown door and Natalya will arrive. She'll then go down to the main room to use the computer under the giant screen. She sees that GoldenEye is ready to fire on London, the alarm triggers and the trouble begins.

Natalya will spend quite a bit of time (about 2 minutes 20 seconds) fiddling with the computer. When she's done (after objective B, when James tells her to return to the surface while he pursues Trevelyan), she'll leave through the door she came from. Make sure she doesn't run into a guard who wants to kill her, and before leaving the level in the lift, make sure objective A is properly completed.

b. Disable GoldenEye satellite

This objective is linked with objective A; you have to wait for Natalya to do her work on the computer. Meanwhile, enemies will arrive either via the stairs, through the glass corners (if you've destroyed them), or through the large windows on each side of the screen. Those coming through the large windows are the most dangerous; they often target Natalya and must be eliminated as quickly as possible. The first time, you'll hear the glass break, but after that you'll need to be vigilant. If you've destroyed the corner glass panes, you'll see them passing through — it can be simpler, but you have more areas to watch. Personally I prefer it that way because Natalya dies fairly easily. Kill the guards who come down to the bottom of the stairs. You can wait for them to stop to save ammo. Find what works best for you. Eventually she'll say "Did It! The satellite's orbit is decaying". Objective B will be completed.

c. Destroy armoured mainframes

There are 6 armoured server cabinets. For simplicity, the first 5 should be destroyed before going to get Natalya:

  1. On the ground floor next to Boris, when you arrive in the main room
  2. On the ground floor next to Boris, when you arrive in the main room
  3. Behind Boris in the main room, there's a blue door ahead. There will be 2 turrets and guards. The server racks are at the back right.
  4. On the first floor, next to the door to let Natalya in
  5. Opposite the previous one, on the other side of the main room.
  6. In the main room behind Boris, there's an armoured (brown) door on the left. The mainframe is behind the glass. One mine will destroy both the glass and the computer. Objective B must be completed first.

Once the last computer is destroyed (and objective A completed), you can flee. You can take the first door on the left when you first enter the main room (before Boris, just after the 4 staircase guards). There's an armour on this path (to the right in the lockers) and the level is nearly finished: if you go straight after taking the door, the lift is a bit further on the left in the hangar room. You can more simply take the door next to the last mainframe. You'll need to cross the entire hangar to the left, which can be more dangerous. Note that Trevelyan is on the right: if you target him, he'll close the lift door (you can get in before it closes but it's pointless — he's invincible unlike in the train level). James's lift door is opposite, at the other end of the room. The advantage of doing this is that he won't shoot at you with his AR-33.
