1. You need to talk to the pink Bob-omb to open the cannon.
2. There is a turtle shell inside a clam. It lets you swim much faster.

The 8 Red Coins

1. On top of the pillar next to the Bob-omb.

6. On the bow of the ship that has come back to the surface.

7. At the stern of the ship, on the right.
8. At the stern of the ship, on the left.

The star appears at the stern of the ship.

Bonus Star: 100+ Coins

A few little tips for getting the bonus star: press the purple switch to make bridges appear. Smash the blue button in the cave to make 6 blue coins appear. A ring of 8 coins is located at the foot of one of the pillars near star 5. There are only 104 coins in the bay, so you'll have to collect almost all of them anyway.
