1 - Go on a Ghost Hunt

To make Big Boo appear, you need to enter the mansion and kill all the small Boos (with a ground pound) on the ground floor. The only "tricky" ones to find are hiding behind Big Boo's portrait, which you'll need to pass through using the blue cap. Then return to the hall to defeat Big Boo by hitting him from behind (I recommend the ground pound attack).

2 - Ride Big Boo's Merry-Go-Round

Go to the shed on the left of the entrance and take the red elevator. Follow the hallways and go through the doors to reach the carousel. Kill all the small Boos, then Big Boo, to get the star.

3 - Secret of the Haunted Books

Take the second door on the left at the top of the stairs, quickly cross the library, and hit the books in this order: middle, right, left. The bookcase opens, revealing the door behind which the star is hidden.

4 - Seek the 8 Red Coins

5 - Big Boo's Balcony

Take the second door on the right upstairs and climb onto the mezzanine by pushing off the right-hand wall. Take the double doors leading to the balcony and defeat Big Boo again. The star appears on the roof. Long jump onto the ledge, then jump the other way to reach the star.

6 - Eye to Eye in the Secret Room

Take the second door on the right at the top of the stairs and cross the room to grab the blue cap behind the door. Quickly climb onto the mezzanine and pass through Big Boo's portrait while you're transparent. Circle around the eye to get the star.
