1 - Board Bowser's Sub

Go directly to the second basin, press the purple button, and take the stairs that appear. Then cross through the submarine to grab the star.

2 - Chests in the Current

For this star, you just need to open the 4 chests in order — if you get it wrong, you'll have to start over from the first one. The first is the one near the 2 columns of coins, just to the left of the shell. The second is just below the passage leading to the second basin. The third is on the other side of the whirlpool, and the last is the one on the mound next to the whirlpool. The star then appears.

3 - Pole-Jumping for Red Coins

4 - Through the Jet Stream

Go to the second basin and spot the grate at the bottom of the water that releases rings. Swim through 5 consecutive rings to make the star appear. Leave the basin, break the green block to become Metal Mario. Then rush to the grate at the bottom of the water to grab the star.

5 - The Manta Ray's Reward

To make the star appear, you need to swim through 5 rings in a row in the first basin. Follow the manta ray, since it's the one that makes them appear. Keep a good distance, since you must not pass it. The star then appears above the whirlpool.

6 - Collect the Caps...

Go to the second basin, break the blue block to turn invisible, dive into the cage, and grab the star.
